With a 47-meter long high tower, The Northern Lights Cathedral is a landmark of Alta, The Northern Light city.

The Northern Lights Cathedral serves first and foremost as a place for activities related to Alta’s congregation. The cathedral is also a meeting point for the community as a cultural and social space that holds concerts, youth-related activities and cultural events.

The Northern Lights Cathedral displays the art of the Danish artist Peter Brandes in the main room.

The Northern Lights Cathedral and the Borealis Experience make Alta an unforgettable travel destination.

In addition to the religious services, you can drop by for a cup of coffee at our café, experience the cultural activities or have a chat with one of our staff-members.
We have also an activity center/café for young adults at Kom Inn! and activities for adults from all backgrounds and beliefs.
